In an AHDB efficacy trial Lalstop K61 was shown to reduce Pythium aphanidematum in inoculated cucumber plants to levels where there were no symptoms. Lalstop K61 outperformed other bio fungicides currently on the market and competitor products.
The trial conducted in the autumn of 2022 inoculated cucumbers with moderate levels of pythium, this replicates the high disease pressure in summer crops of high wire production cucumbers due to warmer temperature during early establishment post-planting.
